It's my pleasure to meet you! I hope this bio can give you enough background on Virtu for you to see that this is a GREAT fit for almost everyone.
I go by Dr. Paul/Dr. D (far too many vowels in my last name for everyday use). Since opening my practice in 2019 I have always been committed to giving back to the local, and international community. "Look good, feel good, do great things" is more than just a slogan. Each year we sponsor local events supporting women's health initiatives, programs for underprivileged youth, and events for breast cancer awareness. One cause that is near and dear to my heart is sponsoring children in 3rd world countries. Since its inception, Virtu made a commitment to sponsor a child for every single surgery we perform, and we've been doing just that. Thanks to the generosity of people like you who choose us to do your surgery, we're on track to sponsor over 1,000 kids by 2030. We also fund small business loans (gifts) to struggling female entrepreneurs in countries where it is incredibly difficult to get started, and we donate every year to fight human trafficking.
As someone whose personality type is creative/artistic, I thoroughly enjoy developing personalized surgery plans that are customized for each patient. Every detail from pre-op planning, medications, surgery plan, and recovery is meticulously planned out for you to achieve the best possible outcome. Visually, emotionally, mentally, and physically, all of your needs and concerns are taken into consideration when we craft your surgery journey together.
I enjoy the comprehensive scope of plastic surgery, but specialize in breast, body, and face/neck lifts. Whether you are looking to feel comfortable in your body for the first time, take back some changes from pregnancy or weight loss, or work on youth preservation, I'd be honored to help.

Meet Dr. Steven J. Hermiz, MD

Hello! My name is Dr. Hermiz, and for the next 1-2 years, I am going to be your personal guide to all things plastic surgery.
I grew up in California, but on my first trip to Columbia a butterfly landed on my finger while walking around the Vista, (what a surreal moment!) and I knew this was where I was meant to be. Sure enough, I met my wife shortly after moving here. She is an amazing nurse, wife, and mom to our son. She grew up in Irmo, and after completing my plastic surgery fellowship in Charleston, I started looking for ways to get back to Columbia to be around friends and family.

My favorite procedures are breast and body plastic surgery. I enjoy helping people on their journey to take a body that was changed by pregnancy, breastfeeding, or weight changes, and get them back to look the way they feel on the inside: unique, and amazing. I am a double board-certified plastic surgeon, a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American College of Surgeon, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons - All to say I take patient safety and satisfaction VERY seriously. My hobbies are Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, restoring my Harley Davidson and of course, watching the Chicago Bears.
